A lot of people wonder why we decided to build our beach cottage in Mexico Beach. Puzzled, they often state, "There's not much there." To which we reply, "Precisely."
We fell in love with Mexico Beach for its fabulous fishing, beautiful beaches and for its quiet atmosphere. If you're looking for a beach with an abundance of activity (water slides, mini golf, overpriced restaurants), Mexico Beach is not for you. You won't even find a Wings beach store here.
If you can be content walking the beach searching for shells, watching the sun set without being disturbed and satisfied with a handful of locally-owned restaurants, Mexico Beach is an ideal vacation spot for you. But, bring cash because credit cards are not accepted everywhere.
